Ms. Kelley and Ms. Nelson, Counselors
We are, indeed, in very different times as we begin this school year! While there have been changes and challenges since I began working as a counselor at Kittredge in 2015, what we are tasked with now is the most complex; that means it is also likely to offer all of us room for lots of growth and opportunity. As we work together to navigate education in a virtual environment, please know that we are here to support students, families, and staff, and our aim is to attend to the “whole” human experience.
The Counseling Program here at Kittredge is comprehensive, needs-based, and follows the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) Model as well as the 5 core competencies of CASEL (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relations skills, and responsible decision making). Kittredge offers services that include parent-teacher consultations, school wide programs and interventions, individual, small group, and classroom lessons. Your child’s success is paramount, and we look forward to partnering with you to help your child succeed academically, personally, socially, and emotionally.
Personal Message from Ms. Nelson

I will collaborate with Ms. Kelley to ensure our counseling program works for you during these virtual times. Thank You!
