Dekalb County Schools

Principal

Dr. Laura S. Neely, Principal

My name is Laura Neely and I am the principal at Kittredge Magnet School. I have served Kittredge as the Principal since February 2013. Prior to that, I was the Principal at Oak Grove Elementary, the Assistant Principal at Kittredge, and a teacher at Kittredge, Shadow Rock Elementary and Northmont Middle in Dayton, Ohio where I began my career in education in 1997. I have my BS in Elementary Education from The Ohio University (Athens, OH), an MS in Middle Grades Math & Science from Brenau University, and a post-graduate certificate in Leadership and PhD in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. I am a frequent presenter at leadership, technology and gifted conferences in Atlanta and Georgia.

Gifted & High Achieving Students and Instructional Technology are my passions in education. I strive to involve teachers and parents in the decision making process that happens at KMS. My door is always open! I look forward to working with all Kittredge stakeholders this year.
