After School Extended Day Program (ASEDP)

Kittredge Afterschool Program Information


Hours: 2:30 – 6:00 daily

Cost: $100 per week

Payment due: Friday at noon before attendance the next week

Late Payment Fee: $20 if not paid by noon on Fridays 

Payments accepted: TBA

Refunds: No refunds or credits given due to absences or lack of attendance.

  1. Initial Program Enrollment: The first week’s ($100) tuition is due upon notice from the aftercare director. Payments are made through an online platform. Tuition for two children is $190 weekly. 


  1. Tuition Policies: The aftercare program is a prepaid program.  Payments are due by 12:00 noon on Fridays prior to the week of attendance. Tuition must be received by 2pm Monday to avoid removal from the program. Payments made on the Monday of attendance must include a $20 late payment feeNon-payment of fees will result in withdrawal from the program. You may request to be placed at the end of the waiting list beginning on the Tuesday of that week. Students will not be able to resume attendance until balance is paid in full AND their wait list number comes up.

 

  1. Tuition & Attendance: Weekly tuition is $100 for one child, $190 for 2 children, and $280 for three children. All students pay full-time attendance regardless of the number of days actually in attendance each week. Families have the flexibility to send their child as little or as often as needed without advance notice. We do not accept drop-ins or give credit for lack of attendance.  No refunds or credits will be given.


  1. Program Hours: The aftercare hours are 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM on the days that school is in session.  A late arrival fee begins at 6:01 ($1 per minute per child or family). The aftercare program is closed on the following dates:

  1. Pick-Up Procedures: Only individuals designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your child.  Your child must be signed out by an adult at the Checkout Desk in the front lobby daily. Please ring the bell at the front entrance to enter the school. IDs will be checked until we get to know our new parents. If your child will be picked up by someone not on your list, please email the director, Ansley Floyd. We ID for your child’s safety. Once your child has been called, please wait in the covered entry area outside the school.


  1. Behavior: We expect all children to behave properly.  The same behavior expectations of the regular school day apply in the afterschool program.


  1. Withdrawal: Students may be suspended or withdrawn from aftercare for the following reasons:

  1. Excessive Late Pick-ups

  2. Repeated Discipline/Behavior Problems

  3. Nonpayment of Tuition and/or Late Pick-up Fees


  1. Aftercare Closures: There will be no aftercare on the dates listed below. Please make arrangements for your child to ride the bus or be picked up via carpool. Aftercare may be closed due to weather or other emergencies. We will do our best to inform families in a timely manner regarding any emergency closures.

  1. School Closures: If the school closes for any other reason, the aftercare program will also be closed. We will do our best to inform families in a timely manner regarding any emergency closures.


  1. Homework Note: While staff members do their best to check and help with student homework, we cannot guarantee that all homework is completed. Due to enrollment numbers, staff members cannot provide one-on-one tutoring during their shifts. Parents have the option of requesting that their child stay in from recess if more time is needed for homework.


  1. Approximate Daily Schedule:

2:30-3:00 Check-in at assigned grade level location, school-provided snack and clean up (Students may also bring a snack from home.)

3:00-4:30         Mandatory one hour homework time (students should always have a book to read) and scheduled twenty minute recess times by grade level

4:30-6:00        Homework/Outside/Games/Reading/Activities depending on student needs

6:00        Program closes for day
