Students are now invited to apply for the 2016-2017 Kittredge Leadership Academy!
The Kittredge Leadership Academy (KLA) is a leadership development program designed to empower current Kittredge Magnet School 4th, 5thand 6th grade students to operate as self-confident, resilient leaders among their peers, in and outside of school.
Academy sponsors will work with KLA members to develop leadership skills and equip students with quality tools to help them feel unique and important. The program goal is to increase academy members’ leadership knowledge while communicating their worth and potential in such a way that they cannot help but see it in themselves.
All completed applications must be received by Ms. King by Monday, October 24, 2016, at 8:00 am. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted or considered.

Qualified applicants will be notified and invited to participate in a panel interview. Interviews will be held after school on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
All current 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students are eligible to apply. No more than 25 students will be selected to make a year-long commitment as KLA members. Current KLA members may continue involvement in the program but must declare their intent to continue by 3:15 pm Friday, October 21, 2016. Newly admitted 2016-2017 KLA member names will be announced and students will be given a congratulatory letter welcoming them to the group.
