Inclement Weather Preparedness

28 January 2018

Greetings Parents,

You will get an email, text and phone call from the district if inclement weather causes a school closing, early dismissal or delayed start. KMS will follow up with a text and Facebook posts if the district announces any changes to the school schedule.

Here's how you can be prepared:

  1. Make an early-dismissal plan with your child today. All KMS students should come to school on Tuesday 1/29 already knowing how to get home if school is dismissed early AND how to get home if school is dismissed as normal. Write this plan in your child's agenda. Include cell phone numbers of the adult in charge of the plan. Please note that school buses always run their routes even if school is dismissed early.
  2. Be prepared to complete school assignments at home. Teachers will post inclement weather assignments online by 4pm today. Inclement weather assignments should only be completed if school is cancelled. Regular homework should be completed as normal.
  3. Get your bread and milk! :)

Sincerely,

Dr. Laura S. Neely, Principal
