DeKalb County School District is encouraging all students, teachers, staff and stakeholders to participate in Cyber Safety Awareness 2018, which includes “Safer Internet Day” on Feb. 6 and the second annual “Cyber Safety Day” on Friday, Feb. 23.
Safer Internet Day is an internationally recognized day promoting safer and more responsible use of online technology. Throughout the month of February, in honor of this day, teachers are encouraged to promote cyber safety among students.
On Cyber Safety Day, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the DCSD community will take part in a variety of activities to promote more safe usage of the internet and social media by our students. All participants are encouraged to wear the color yellow in support of this effort.
