Greetings KMS Parents,
We are excited to announce that we are adding a third music course selection for the 2016-2017 school year. All current band and orchestra students will have the option to continue in their current music course, or take Chorus/General Music instead. The new teacher is Ms. Melia Foley who is coming to us from Sagamore Hills Elementary where she has been teaching a variety of music courses. She is visiting our current fourth and fifth graders during their normal music classes on Friday 5/13 to introduce herself and explain what her class is like. In addition, we have created program flyers for Band, Orchestra and Chorus so that you and your child can make an informed decision about music for next year and beyond. It is important to note two things:
(1) Students must choose only one music course: Continue in Band or Orchestra or switch to Chorus/General Music.
(2) All three music courses are available at both Chamblee Middle and Chamblee High School.
Over the weekend, complete the registration form and return it to school with your child on Monday, May 16th.
