About Kittredge Leadership Academy

The Kittredge Leadership Academy (KLA) is a leadership development program designed to empower current Kittredge Magnet School 4t h , 5t h and 6t h grade students to operate as self-confident, resilient leaders among their peers, in and outside of school.

Academy sponsors will work with KLA members to develop leadership skills and equip students with quality tools to help them feel unique and important. The program’s goal is to increase academy members’ leadership knowledge while communicating their worth and potential in such a way that they cannot help but see it in themselves.

Who is eligible to apply? How many students are selected each year?

All current 4t h , 5t h , and 6t h grade students are eligible to apply. No more than 20 students will be selected to make a year-long commitment as KLA members. Current KLA members may continue involvement in the program, but must declare their intent to continue by Friday, August 24, 2018 . Newly admitted 2018-2019 KLA member names will be announced and students will be given a congratulatory letter welcoming them to the group.
